As part of the 2010 State of Design Festival ffiXXed will be presenting a series of activities in Shenzhen, Melbourne and Hong Kong.

JUNE 20
ffiXXed Sudios, Shenzhen
ffiXXed will host a dinner with local crafts people, producers and friends in their Shenzhen studio. The dinner will revolve around specially produced table ware designed locally in Shenzhen.

West Wing at Melbourne Central
Westwing will operate as a multifunctional ffiXXed office/ studio/ showroom/ workshop through which a curated group Melbourne based creative practitioners can work. Over the course of the project Sibling architecture will work together with Condiment magazine in the space to build a self-contained kitchen utilizing sustainable design elements. World Food Books, a mobile retail space specializing in new and previously unavailable contemporary art journals, editions and periodicals, with a focus on contemporary global dialogue, will have a selection of new titles present. And the space itself will be transformed through an experimental interior design collaboration between ffiXXed and James Deutsher. This space is also open to more spontaneous activities and events.

The West Wing is located on the second level of Melbourne Central, near Freedom Furniture and directly underneath Hoyts Cinema.

Y3K gallery Melbourne
ffiXXed and James Deutsher will present a range of customised dinnerware designed around different notions of sustainability. A small publication about the project will also be available. This project is part of an exhibition by Kain Picken at Y3K.
